Berand News
Berand included in Enterprise Ireland's delegation to Biolink USA-Ireland and Bio2007 Conferences.
Berand were part of the delegation in the fifth annual Enterprise Ireland sponsored BioLink USA - Ireland Conference.
The 2007 BIO International Convention, being held in Boston, Massachusetts from May 6-9, gave Berand the unparalleled opportunity to meet with industry investors and key players from across the globe to learn about each other, meet one-on-one, and discuss business opportunities.
When it comes to biotechnology discovery, development, manufacturing, and marketing, no company can do it all alone. Networking and partnering opportunities are a key component of the BIO International Convention, providing numerous emerging companies the chance to establish relationships with investors and venture capitalists that can help bring their products one step closer to market.
The Irish companies that took part in the biopartnering are Biotrin International, Berand Ltd., Luxell, Sigmoid Biotechnologies and Merrion Biopharma.
In addition to the numerous networking receptions, this year's BIO Business Forum hosted more than 11,000 partnering meetings during the Convention. This is the largest number of anticipated meetings in the Convention's history, and a testament to the importance of these meetings for all attendees, from established companies to early stage companies looking for partnership opportunities.
The BIO International Convention also offered numerous panels discussing good business practice techniques, venture capital funding, benefits of collaboration, and creative ways to secure successful, tactical and practical alliances between mature and emerging companies.
This year's BIO International Convention, themed "New Ideas. Bold Ventures. Global Benefits," featured a program packed with more than 200 sessions and speakers focusing on the global aspects of biotechnology, including business development, global health, clinical research/clinical trials, policy, bioethics, devices and diagnostics, biopreparedness, intellectual property/legal, food and agriculture, and industrial and environmental issues.
